About the job
Are you a pastry chef or baker wanting to master the craft of making really good cream caramel in all its forms? Do you want to work in a small team within a growing organization where there are opportunities to develop? Then maybe you are the confectioner we are looking for at Pärlans Konfektyr! We recently moved our production to large, beautiful premises in the Slakthusområdet area and now have some exciting years ahead of us.
Responsibilities
We're looking for someone who wants to learn the craft and participate in our daily production of caramels, chocolate-covered caramels, brittle, and caramel sauce. The idea is that you'll learn all the steps in the kitchen, such as cooking, dipping in chocolate, wrapping, labeling, etc. You will work closely with a very knowledgeable, creative, and dedicated team, and it's important that we can support each other and are willing to pitch in where needed.
A lot of the work in the kitchen is done by hand, even though we now have some machines to help us out. It takes a delicate touch, a wealth of knowledge, and precision when it comes to things like temperatures, timings, and quantities.
We also want you to take an active role in planning, improving and driving processes around e.g. optimization of production, raw material flows and management of machines. In addition to daily production, we would like you to have a broader responsibility and take on other tasks regarding, for example, purchasing, production planning and maintenance of machines.
Qualifications
We are looking for an independent and responsible person who is structured, accurate, flexible and fast. You should have training and previous experience of working professionally in a kitchen. Production of confectionery is of course a plus, but not a requirement, we will teach you the cooking of caramel here with us.
Vi ser gärna att du med lätthet hanterar excel och andra digitala verktyg. Om du också har erfarenhet eller utbildning inom produktion, LEAN, logistik eller maskinteknik så är det meriterande.

About us
At Pärlans Konfektyr we make caramel, caramel sauce and other sweets from pure, simple ingredients using classic craft methods. The first caramel was sold in December 2010 and near Nytorget on Södermalm is our shop and original small kitchen, which is now a popular soft ice cream parlor. Today our factory with production and office is located in Slakthusområdet south of Stockholm. We deliver our caramel daily to our own shop in Södermalm, a large group of retailers in Sweden and also a lot to other countries such as Norway, Germany and Finland.
Our new, larger space in the Slakthus area gives us the opportunity to grow and realize many of the ideas we have long had. We are now looking for someone who wants to join us on the exciting journey we have ahead of us.
Full time. Fixed term. Fixed monthly salary. We have a collective agreement.
Start immediately. We accept applications and call for interviews on an ongoing basis and therefore the position may be filled before the deadline.
The job is usually during the daytime on weekdays, but there may be some evening and weekend work, especially during busier periods such as Christmas.
