In the summer of 2020, Kyrö Distillery Company got in touch and suggested we cook up something fun - and boy are we glad we said yes. The result was this silky smooth caramel sauce made with their award-winning rye whisky. It sells like hotcakes over by our friends in the East, and every time we send them a batch, we keep some for ourselves and you.
Since the beginning in 2014 Kyrö has been on an ambitious journey and have now become Finlands largest producer of whisky, and won several international prizes. "Pärlans is our go-to caramel producer and we love what they have been doing over the years. After getting together we realised we share the same values and both love doing things crafty and with love" says Mikko Koskinen, one of Kyrö's founders.
